Moringa Grown Intensively In Beds
Do you grow Moringa? Living in Arizona growing Moringa seems like second nature they love the heat and grow like weeds…
Intensively In Beds
One my favorite ways to grow Moringa is intensively in beds… I learned to grow Moringa in beds from watching YouTube videos… I watched one video from a world help organization, that was teaching people in third world villages to grow several beds of Moringa and one tree.
The reason for growing Moringa this way is that growing beds of Moringa produce an abundance of leaves that can be used for food, tea & medicine. Because Moringa grown in beds are constantly pruned back to harvest the leaves and keep the beds manageable the trees never mature enough to grow seeds. So they need to grow a tree to supply the seeds.
Moringa seeds are high in an oil similar to Olive oil. The immature seed pods are eaten as a vegetable and are called Drumsticks in Moringa eating households. In some places of the world, Moringa seeds are being used to filter dirt and debris from dirty water, making drinking water clean.
Seeds Being Studied
In fact, water treatment plants in some third world countries have been studying the ways that Moringa seeds can be used in place of more expensive water treatment plant chemicals…
The Giving Moringa Tree
Moringa is a very giving tree, from the roots to the oil, and everything in between is used for food or medicine… It can grow in areas where other plants would not survive. Moringa grows like a weed in hot areas of the world like Arizona…
I wrote several other posts on how to grow Moringa here.
