Finally, A Homemade Natural Deodorant that Really Works…
I have for the past 7 years on and off been working on an effective natural deodorant that really worked,,, I had some painful test trials, to say the least, but finally with the help of the internet and my previous tests, here it is… It is made with everyday ingredients that anyone can get either locally or online…
The First Ingredient Is Aloe Vera Juice
Aloe Vera is wonderful taken internally but also excels as a topical for the skin… It is great for preventing skin irritation and dryness, it is high in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin A, C, E, and B12, as well as minerals such as potassium, zinc, and magnesium. It is a powerful antioxidant, that can bring balance to a topical formula.
Milk Of Magnesia Is Next
I would have never thought of it myself, this one I got from the internet… Apparently, some are using Milk of Magnesia alone as a deodorant… But I think it works even better in combination with a few more ingredients… Such as Zinc Oxide…
Then Zinc Oxide Powder
Zinc oxide is the active ingredient in one very expensive natural deodorant, that you only apply once a week… Zinc is really good for the skin, taken internally and externally. We have found that zinc cream or ointment is so good at treating eczema that my husband has been able to quit using the steroid cream he was prescribed. That was a relief for me, using steroids is great for when you have an emergency, but long term use is not really that great for our skin…
In this recipe, we are using Zinc Oxide Powder… I got mine from Amazon here.
And Lastly Arrow Root Powder
You may have heard of Arrowroot powder being used as a thickener for sauces or gravies. But, Arrowroot powder has many other great benefits, it draws out poisons, it detoxifies, it can heal, it can dry up skin rashes and blemishes & it makes a product smooth and silky on the skin… We will be using Arrowroot in this deodorant recipe…
