Make Foaming Refill Soap
Have you ever wondered what to do with those old soap foaming bottles? I like to reuse them, by making foaming refill soap and refilling the old bottles.
How To Make Foaming Refill Soap
Things you will need:
- Liquid Dish Soap or other skin safe liquid soap.
- Empty container to hold your refill soap, I use an empty dish soap bottle
- Measuring Cup
- Permanant Marker
- Clean Foamer Bottle
- Water I use tap.
Take a clean empty soap bottle, or other container and determine how much it holds, mine holds 25 ounces.
The recipe for making foamer refill soap, calls for either 1/3 or 1/4 soap to water. I am going to use 1/3 soap to water. To determine how much soap to use just divide my container size by 3; 25oz by 3, I get 8.33 ounces. Just to make it easy I’ll just round down to 8 ounces.. So our recipe will be 1 cup soap to 2 cups of water.
Now, measure 2 cups of water and pour it into your empty soap bottle, then with a permanent marker make a line where the top of the water hits, this will be our water portion.
Then measure another cup of water and pour it into the bottle, again with your marker mark a line where the water now hits. This will be your soap line.
Now that your bottle is marked, remove one cup of water, down to the top of the water line. Then with your soap fill the bottle up to the line we marked for soap. Re-cap bottle and shake gently to mix soap and water.
Now we have foamer refill soap, and a bottle that has measurements for future refills.
All we need to do now is fill our empty foamer bottles & Try our refill soap.
