One Refreshing Cranberry Sauerkraut Drink
Would you have ever thought that Cranberry and Sauerkraut would be used in the same sentence, let alone in the same recipe? I had never considered putting them together until today. After doing a search I learned that Cranberry and Sauerkraut are often paired together…
Salty Sweet & Tangy
If you like salty, sweet & tangy you might want to give my new recipe, “One Refreshing Cranberry Sauerkraut Drink” a try. My husband hates sauerkraut but agreed to try the new drink anyway, to my surprise he said it is not bad… I think that it must be pretty good coming from someone who hates sauerkraut and tries to discourages me every time mention it.
I like to use sauerkraut to settle my stomach, when I am feeling a little indigestion. The fermentation along with probiotics that grow in fermented things seem to do the trick for me.
Simple & Easy
This is a very simple recipe,,, All you will need is a container of Cranberry Juice (I used Cranberry Juice Cocktail), and a jar of Sauerkraut, some water and maybe a blender. If you do not have a blender do not worry you can still make the recipe…
To make 16ozs
8ozs Cranberry Juice, 1 heaping tbsp (if you like it sweeter) or 2 heaping tbsp (if you like it saltier) Sauerkraut, 4oz Water, put in blender and blend. Add more water to bring it up to 16ozs or to adjust the taste.
If you don’t have a blender you can use the juice of the sauerkraut instead of blending the kraut. Mix to taste.
Really the whole thing needs to be made to your tastes… You can start with less Sauerkraut and Cranberry Juice and add more as needed…
